Gil Evans gained much expertise in equipment leasing and financing over the past 25 years in a career which demonstrates superior management of people and resources. Starting his career as a Corporate Loan Officer with Security Pacific National Bank, Gil was responsible for ongoing development of new commercial clients, ultimately managing a $25 million loan portfolio before leaving to join Heritage Leasing Corporation (San Diego). As Vice President-Credit for Heritage, Gil implemented a very successful equipment lease portfolio management program with several independent banks throughout San Diego County. In 1985, Gil co-founded Business Credit Services, Inc, an independent lease and finance group which was eventually sold to Imperial Business Credit in 1996, where he served as Vice President-Business Development.

Recruited by Scripps Bank to develop an equipment leasing department for the bank, Gil built and managed a sizable portfolio and remained with the bank until it was sold to U.S. Bank.

Gil joined VISION CAPITAL in 2002 as Chief Credit Officer to lend his expertise in commercial credit to better serve the Company’s clients as well as provide a solid credit platform for expansion of the business into the vendor-finance arena.
